VOCs Governance in Vehicle Manufacturing Industry: Innovative Methods and Application Cases


With the rapid development of the automotive industry, the control of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) emissions has become an important issue. In the production process of automobile manufacturing industry, waste gas will be produced in the painting workshop (electrophoresis, gluing, spraying, drying, repairing and waxing) and the assembly workshop (offline and testing), as shown in the figure:

If the completely closed operation cannot be achieved, it is necessary to take local collection measures and send the collected exhaust gas to the exhaust gas collection and treatment system for treatment.

 

Governance route selection

For the high temperature, high concentration and small air volume waste gas generated by electrophoresis, intermediate coating and topcoat drying rooms, RTO/TO should be adopted for treatment;

Zeolite concentration runner KPR RTO should be used for treatment of normal temperature, low concentration and high air volume exhaust gas in electrophoresis, intermediate coating and topcoat workshops.
