According to the production process, pharmaceutical can be divided into fermentation, extraction, chemical synthesis, preparation, bioengineering and traditional Chinese medicine. The atmospheric pollutants in pharmaceutical industry mainly come from the production process of chemical API.

VOCs are mainly generated from reaction kettle dosing port, centrifuge, mother liquid tank centrifugal pump, API storage tank breathing valve, reaction kettle and drying oven, sewage tank, etc. It has the characteristics of diverse discharge links, mostly unorganized discharge, large variation of discharge concentration, and difficult theoretical calculation of concentration value. The organic components in the waste gas are complex, mostly containing halogen, nitrogen, bromine, fluorine and other elements, and some are classified as characteristic pollutants. The requirement for waste gas treatment system is high，because of the low emission concentration requirements.

Technical route

The process scheme of the pharmaceutical industry is generally pre-treatment +RTO+ post-treatment. Because the exhaust gas of the pharmaceutical industry is more complex and uncertain, it is not recommended to use catalysts and zeolite wheel.

If the concentration of exhaust gas at the front end is too high or there is nitrogen seal, the concentration should be diluted at the front end or oxygen should be provided, such as the dilution of air volume at the front end.
